Jonathan Jensen is an Adjunct Professor in the Sports Management department at Columbia College Chicago, where he teaches a class entitled Sponsorship. The course, a requirement for Sports Management majors, provides students with industry-leading tools and strategies to develop, sell activate and measure the success of sponsorship programs in sports, music, entertainment and the arts.
Jensen has served as a consultant to a wide variety of clients, including Sharp Electronics Corp., Nutrilite, Walgreen Co., Discover Financial Services, Morgan Stanley, the U.S. Army and Miller Brewing Co., agencies such as Peter Jacobsen Sports, PBJS, Zeno Group, Jack Morton, Norris Sports Group and Agent X and leading properties such as the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.
A frequently quoted spokesperson in industry and business publications, Jensen has provided subject matter expertise for media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Adweek, Crain's Chicago Business, SportsBusiness Daily and The SportsBusiness Journal.
From 2005-2010 he served as Director of Sponsorship Consulting and an Account Director at Relay Worldwide, the premier sports and event marketing agency in Publicis Groupe. In that role he counseled clients such as Sharp Electronics Corp., Walgreen Co., PayPal, Morgan Stanley, U.S. Army and Discover Financial Services.

In 2011, a research paper he co-authored entitled “Does Sponsorship Pay Off? An Examination of the Relationship between Investment in Sponsorship and Business Performance” was published in the International Journal of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship, a leading peer-reviewed journal.
Mr. Jensen earned a M.S. from the Sport Management program at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. He lives with his wife and son in Chicago.
